ITU Worlds —-» U23—» Yorke 13th, Hinton 34th, Sharpe 36th

Andrew Yorke, from Caledon Ontario, powered is way to a 13th place at Worlds in Beijing. A very strong performance for the 22 year old athlete who studies History at McMaster, if my memory is not tricking me.

Yorke was happy with the result and here is what he told Triathlon Canada media after the race : « I am extremely happy. That was the best performance I have ever had. I gave it everything I had today. »

Il s’agit d’une très bonne performance pour lui, probablement sa meilleure en carrière. Cela surpasse selon moi sa victoire à Coteau-du Lac en 2010 ainsi que sa 21e place à Lausanne récemment. Bravo !

Hinton and Sharpe were also there, respectively 34th and 36th. Good work from them, the best is yet to come from these guys in the next years. Maybe it wasn’t the performance they were hoping for (I don’t want speak for them..), but they can be proud of their presence at the biggest stage in the world. The will work toward getting on the podium for sure.

It was a GBR sweep, Sharp (1), McNamee (2), Bishop (3). What can we say… How many medals will GBR win ?
