Hot, humid, hilly course. This is why the Huatulco World Cup is considered one of the hardest race of the season.

On the women side, Manon Letourneau was the first canadian to cross the line in 18th place. This is her best result in a world cup so far, beating her 20th place at Edmonton earlier this year. A very good season for the 24 year old athlete. First Podium in a Pan Am Cup in Ixtapa, First participation in a World Cup in Edmonton, first participation in WCS in Lausanne. This 18th place is a good way to finish up the season.

Chantell Widney and Kathy Tremblay were respectively 24th and 30th.

On the men side, Brent McMahon was 10th, another good result for the canadian who probably tried several attempts to breakaway on the bike, as he always does. Some of the athletes call him « the train ».  Andrew Russell was 16th, another great race for him.

MchMahon and Trembay will probably stay in Mexico until the Pan Am Games which are in Puerto Vallarta on October 23.
